Brown Sugar Muffins

1\2 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1\2 cup walnuts (optional)
1 tsp. baking soda
1\2 tsp. salt
1 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour

Cream butter, brown sugar and eggs together. If desired, chop walnuts and stir into creamed mixture.
Add soda and salt and mix well
Stir in milk and vanilla
Add flour and stir just until moist
Pour into greased or paper-lined muffin cups. Bake at 375 for 20 minutes

Makes about 16 regular sized muffins
